Week 3: Cougar Attack

Tracy Jennison and Elliot Ross smile after another great Arkham practice.

(Mistakatonic University Press) - The home opener for the Grave Robbers was a fine tribute to the Great Old Ones. The solid victory over the defending champion Outlaws sent a message to the league. But the schedule is not kind to Arkham this year, and the team travels to Pullman to face the hard-rushing, offense-crushing Cougars.

Jamal smith is well-rested after only 9 touches against Texas, but running against the Cougar defense may be pointless. With the addition of rookie safety tandem Darryl Miller and Donnell Sims, passing won't be easy, either. Coach Guye would only comment, "Maybe we can pick on Sam Atkins. He might be the only weak spot on the Pullman roster. We've been solid against the run, but mostly because teams have to pass against us when we jump out to an early lead. That won't happen against Pullman. If we can't stop Josh Centers, Howard Washington and Homer Thomas, this game could get ugly for us."
