Coach Guye Bids Veterans Fond Farewell

(Mistakatonic University Press) - Grave Robbers' coach and GM, Neal F. Guye, said goodbye to two veterans today. Cornerback George Little and defensive end Hector Dinardo were sent packing in separate trades. The Grave Robbers appear to be moving toward their future, as both players were exchanged for draft picks.

"We'll miss George. He did everything we asked him to do at an extremely high level," said Guye. "We just felt we needed to move our defense in a different direction. We had a very average defense, and we needed to shake things up a little to get into the next level." Onlookers shook their heads as they listened to yet-another meaningless string of athletic goobledegook.

Little was sent to the Albuqurque Scorpions for their third round draft pick in the upcoming draft.

Guye continued with his obligatory drivel, "Hector was a man's man. He played at 110 percent 24-7. He will be a great addition at Duluth. At the same time, we were delighted to add Sean. He brings incredible muscle to the middle of our line. We also expect to pick up a good role-player with the pick."

Dinardo was traded to the Duluth Moose for Sean Smith, a third-year defensive tackle with explosive strength and near-immoblie bulk, and Duluth's fourth-round pick in the upcoming draft. "We're not worried about Sean's weight," said Guye. "We like him strong and we expect him to become more mobile on our strict diet plan of fresh corpses."
