O W A S S O R A M S #14 - Owasso-WR-Miguel Evans Owasso was right to think it needed help at wideout. Unfortunately, they missed the chance to trade this pick for a Speed 100 player, which they could have easily done. Instead they ended up with one of the best possession receivers in the game, and no one to stretch the field and take advantage of Ballard's arm. #26-Owasso-OL-Bob Washington #38-Owasso-OL-Irwin Lewis I'm grouping these picks together because I like them so much. Aaron understood he needed an OL more than anything else. And he went for it. That is the sign of a great draft. Washington and Lewis were selected right where predicted, and the Rams can now piece together a smallish OL. They are still two trades away from being really good here, but this was a great step. #50-Owasso-LB-Darryl Gardner He comes in as the Rams' #2 linebacker, which is scary for the Rams. A great pick, addressing another area of the need. #62-Owasso-DL-Clarence Novacek The Owasso DL will be trampled this season. They need strength here, and Novacek is a very one-dimensional speed rusher. Wyatt Cushman or Greg Clark would have been better picks. #74-Owasso-WR-Tim Wallace Guy Widell, Greg Clark et. al. would have helped the Rams more here. OVERALL: The Rams did a great job of bringing in a good QB, a good HB, and two good OL with their first four picks. That's commendable. Miguel Evans is a great asset, but should have been the second WR added, not the first. Daryl Gardner helps the team. After that, it's hard to see any of these guys helping the Rams. Still, a great draft. GRADE: B
