D U L U T H M O O S E #06 Duluth-LB-David Saaverda Saaverda's stock had really fallen, if you listened to the whispers. I'm glad to see that Szatch didn't buy into that. Saaverda is a nightmare. #20-Duluth-OL-Oscar Townsend Much-needed help on the OL for Szatch. With only three top OL availbe, Szatch did well to get Townsend at this pick. This was a definite steal, one of the great picks of the draft. #30-Duluth-LB-Andy Crowe Crowe is superb, and he was picked right where predicted. More big help for Szatch. -------- Duluth got Dwight Kennedy for his #31 (which he obtained from Arkham for Deon White), and that #31 was used by Texas to take Sean Kay, one of the steals of the draft. Scary. ------- #60-Duluth-TE-Spencer Wakeman After trading away all his middle picks, Duluth was left picking through the scraps at number 60. Wakeman fell right on schedule, but he's nearly useless. Clearly not the best pick here. #66-Duluth-SS-Jeff Walker Walker was a great pick at 66. He'll be much more useful than Wakeman to Duluth. #69-Duluth-CB-Jim Brook You always hope for something great on pick #69. Brook must be better in the bedroom than he is on the playing field. I don't expect to see him on the field much, but if I do, I'll be happy... OVERALL: Szatch is still weak on both the OL and DL. His safety situation is horrible. He failed to address key problems, while taking two great linebackers for a team that already had good linebacking. His fullback, in from semi-pro ball, arguably gives him the best running tandem in the league. They just need some blocking. GRADE: C
